Pre-conference Training and Consulting Classes

Q. How do I register for a pre-conference training class or consulting workshop?

A. Credit cards option - customers may register and pay for classes at sirsidynix.webex.com.

Non-credit card option - Submit a Purchase Order or check to SirsiDynix. You will be registered for requested class once payment is processed.

NOTE: Please do not make hotel or travel plans until you have received an email confirmation that you have been successfully registered.

Q. How will I know I am confirmed for the requested class?

A. You will receive an email confirmation once you are registered

Q. How do I find the pre-conference classes on webex?

A. Go to sirsidynix.webex.com. You then do a search on the word "superconference".

Q. Where in the Detroit Marriott facility are the training classes being held?

A. All of the classes will be held in some of the same meeting rooms that are being used for SuperConference. The room assigned to each class is listed with the class in webex. The following map links will be helpful:

Q. Will breakfast and lunch be served during pre-conference training and workshops?

A. Neither breakfast nor lunch is included in the fee for pre-conference training and workshops. Check here for information on restaurants within The GM Renaissance Center.

Q. When will registration for pre-conference training close?

A. Registration will close when the class is full or three weeks prior to the first class, which is March 3, 2008.

Q. What if I need to cancel my registration?

A. Please contact SirsiDynix OPS at 1-800-288-8020 ext 5770.

Q. Who is the contact if I have questions about any of the classes/workshops being offered?

Q. What is the cancellation policy?

A. Cancellation Policy: Minimum attendance of six is required for each of the classes. Classes will not be held if the minimum number of registrations is not received. Please do not make travel plans to attend classes until you receive a confirmation that the class will be held. Once the minimum registration is received confirmations will be sent to all registered attendees. Deadline for class registration is March 3, 2008.

Q. What are the times for the classes?

A. The classes will begin at 9am MST and will end at either 12noon MST or 4:30pm MST with a 1 ½ hour lunch break. There will also be morning and afternoon breaks.

Registration Questions

Q. What are the dates for registration?

A. Early registration begins January 7, 2008, and goes through February 29, 2008. Regular registration begins March 1, 2008, and ends March 21, 2008.

Q. What are the registration fees for UUGI and non-UUGI members?

A. Go to registration for complete registration fee information.

Q. What are the requirements to become an UUGI member?

A. Go to the UUGI website and click on the membership link to complete a membership form for your library and pay annual dues.

Q. Who should go to the Executive Conference?

A. Those who hold executive level positions or those who are library decision makers.

Q. Can someone who attends the SirsiDynix Institute Executive Conference attend the Users' Conference?

A. Yes, just select Executive Conference and Users Conference from the registration options.

Q. What are the forms of payment that we accept for conference fees?

A. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards, and checks. If you are making payment by check, please make sure that your payment arrives by March 21, 2008. All monies must be received by this date in order for you to attend the conference.

Q. The address that I have in my records for SirsiDynix is different from the address that you have the monies coming to. Do I need to change that address in my system?

A. No, the above address is only for SuperConference payments. It is totally separate from SirsiDynix.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. For any cancellations made on or before March 1, 2008, fees will be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee. For cancellations between March 2 and March 14, 2008, fees will be refunded minus a $100 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given for cancellations made on or after March 15, 2008.

All cancellations must be in writing and sent to pia@icmevents.com by the date above.

Q. As a government employee, I will not be paid until I actually attend the conference. Can I still attend?

A. Yes, but we ask you to sign a waiver that payment will be made within three weeks after the conference, or you will not be able to attend any other SirsiDynix conferences. Please contact registration@superconference.info to request the form.

Q. What meals are included in the conference fee?

A. Lunch

Q. Can I just pay for the conference and have my meals other places?

A. No, the meals and conference fee are combined.

Q. Will you have vegetarian meals available? And if so, how do I go about ordering one?

A. If we have a buffet, there will be "vegetarian options" and if we do not have a buffet, you will receive a VEG ticket with your conference badge to give to the waiters during lunch.

Q. Can I bring my spouse or significant other to meals?

A. Yes, but at your own expense.

Q. Can one or more people share one room at the hotel?

A. Go to lodging for detailed lodging information.

Q. Who do I need to contact if I have special needs in my room during my stay at The Detroit Marriott?

A. When making your hotel reservations please inform the operator of those needs. If you will require special needs (wheelchair accessibility, etc) during the conference, please contact registration@superconference.info.

Q. Does the hotel have motorized scooters for those who may need them?

A. Scooters and wheelchairs can be ordered for those who need them at a fee. Please contact Pia Jones (pia@icmevents.com or 1-801-235-9616) if you have these types of needs.

Q. What transportation is available to and from the airport?

A. Please check this page for more information on transportation to and from the airport. You are encouraged to make arrangements in advance to share a taxi or limousine with your peers.

Q. Are there details about SuperConference 2009?

A. Yes. SuperConference 2009 will be held in Dallas, Texas at the Adams Mark Hotel - Dallas. Check back for updates and further details!
