The SirsiDynix SuperConference hotel blocks at both The Broadmoor and the Cheyenne Mountain Resort are now FULL.

Check back with them, however, from time to time, as some cancellations are likely to occur closer to the start of the conference.

If you find you need to obtain a room elsewhere, check with the hotels listed below, which are in the vicinity of The Broadmoor. Note, however that a room in one of these facilities would require a cab ride to The Broadmoor.

The resort is approximately one mile from The Broadmoor. A complimentary conference shuttle bus will take you to The Broadmoor and return after the last session each day. Additional shuttle runs during the day will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

There is a $10 per room, per day facilities charge, which includes wireless Internet access in sleeping rooms, as well as public areas, bell and maid gratuities, 800 and local call access, fitness center, and parking.

Originally built in 1891 as a gambling casino, The Broadmoor reopened in 1918 following a full-scale renovation in expectations of the coming tourism Pikes Peak would generate. Known as the "grande dame of the Rockies," this Five-Star hotel has been host to captains of industry in its early days, plus presidents, dignitaries, and many celebrities over the years.

In lieu of separate charges for the following services, a daily resort fee will be applied to all guest rooms in the current amount of $14.00 for single or double occupancy and $2.50 for each additional person. This daily service charge is subject to change.

Onsite activities at The Broadmoor:

The Broadmoor's three championship golf courses were designed with the expertise of Donald Ross, Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Jack Nicklaus. One of these courses will play host to the U.S. Senior Open for the sixth time in 2008. Needless to say, they take this sport seriously here.
The Broadmoor's seven plexi-cushion tennis courts (two covered and heated for winter use) make tennis a popular activity also. In fact, the hotel is rated as one of the top tennis resorts in the country.
If you prefer the water, even in winter you can enjoy the indoor pool under a stained glass skylight or one of the two 14-person hot tubs.
